Electoral officers regularly travel to regional and remote areas in the Northern Territory to present education sessions to primary, middle and high school students and community groups. These sessions are tailored to meet the needs of remote indigenous students and adults, and English as second language learners. The NTEC does not charge for these services.
The NTEC works closely with Parliamentary Education Services and their outreach programs to conduct joint sessions in school and community settings in regional and remote areas.
In addition to our outreach education sessions we can provide, at no cost, information and resources to schools and community groups, including a range of information sheets and student teacher resources for conducting do-it-yourself school representative and house captain elections.
To request resources or an outreach visit please contact NTEC offices in Darwin on 8999 5000 or Alice Springs on 8951 5971.
