TERRITORIANS voting in the 2017 NT Council elections must vote early if they are unable to vote in their council area on election day.

“All early voting centres can issue votes for any council area in the Northern Territory however, on election day, electors can only vote in their council area,” NT Electoral Commissioner Iain Loganathan said.

“If Territorians aren’t going to be able to vote in their council area on election day, they should get to an early voting centre this week.

“Early voting centres in Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Katherine, Coolalinga, Casuarina and Darwin city are open from 8am to 5pm on Thursday 24 August and 8am to 6pm on Friday 25 August,” Mr Loganathan said.
