City of Palmerston election: Nominations announced 12noon Friday, 23 February

​Nominations for the City of Palmerston election will be publicly declared in the council office located at Civic Plaza, 1 Chung Wah Terrace from 12noon on Friday 23 February. Nominations close at 12noon SHARP today, Thursday 22 February.

“Ballot papers will be printed over the weekend and postal vote material will be sent to electors from Monday 26 February. You can apply for a postal vote online at ntec.nt.gov.au,” NT Electoral Commissioner, Iain Loganathan said.

“Early voting is available to all electors from Monday 5 March in Palmerston and Darwin City. Locations and operating hours can be found at ntec.nt.gov.au,” he said. Voting is compulsory for all electors enrolled in the City of Palmerston council area. More information can be found at ntec.nt.gov.au or by calling 1800 698 683.
